Academic Education

 

1977 - 1983 Study of Chemistry and Philosophy at the Universities of Würzburg and Marburg, Germany.

1983 MSc (Diploma) in Chemistry, University of Marburg.

1988 PhD in Chemistry, University of Marburg.

1997 Habilitation in Philosophy, University of Marburg.

1997 Appointment as Reader in Philosophy at the University of Marburg.

1999 Appointment as Reader in Philosophy at the University of Leipzig.

2004 Election to Professor extraordinary for Philosophy at the University of Leipzig.

 

Fellowships

 

1992 - 1996 Habilitation Fellow of the "Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft" and the "Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft".

1998 - 2004 Heisenberg Fellow of the "Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft".

10/2002 - 1/2003 Interim Professor of Philosophy at the University of Leipzig and Interim Director of the Institute of Philosophy.

1983 - 1992 Research Assistant at the Institutes of Nuclear Chemistry of the University of Marburg and the TU Munich.

Since 2005 Tenured Instructor of Philosophy at the University of Leipzig.
